What does “healing” mean to you?
Healing means that I am liberated from traumas of the past; I forgave and I am now at peace.
What are your dreams for the future? What do you want to accomplish/achieve?
I want a transitional home for those getting out of prison, and to become a Consultant where I can utilize my gift to motivate and help people to heal.
What is something you wish people knew about you?
I am an open book: I share all of myself with all those I come across.
Have you ever felt like someone made assumptions about you, based on the fact that you were incarcerated? What were those assumptions? How do you challenge those?
The assumption was I that I was ignorant. That was until I spoke. Then he apologized stating, “I didn’t know that you guys were so intelligent, you proved me wrong.”
What is your favorite thing to do?
I love helping people heal. Assisting others to get to that “ah ha” moment, to where the light comes on and change ensues. I love that.
What do you do for fun?
I love to sing, because it soothes me no matter what I may be going through. I also sing to touch hearts.
What is your favorite memory?
Walking out of prison after almost thirty years and seeing my family and the Angels of Uncommon Law waiting for me outside that gate. Priceless....
What are your favorite qualities (in yourself)?
I’m very empathetic, caring, patient, intuitive, open minded, a servant of people and a devoted Humanist.
What are your most proud of?
My ability to see things logically in times that otherwise makes no sense.
Who are your biggest role models?
The creator first. Those that are servants of the people, like those at Uncommon Law - true Servants. The truth is also a model, for it never changes; it will forever be consistent.
If you could describe working with UnCommon Law in one word, what word would you choose?
Heroes.
