We recommend very casual attire, but encourage you to wear what feels comfortable. October weather in Oakland typically hovers around 70°F.

We are committed to creating an accessible and welcoming event for all attendees. The event will primarily be held on a grassy area, and will include access to an ADA compliant parking lot, bathroom, and cement walkway.

Picnic Location
Mosswood Park – We will be gathering on the Broadway side, near the Kaiser Permanente Hospital. Look for UnCommon Law branded signage guiding you to the event area.

Parking

There are a limited number of parking spots in the parking lot at Mosswood Park. If you plan on driving, you can type in “Mosswood Recreation Center” as your destination on your phone to arrive at the parking lot, which is on the Webster St. side of the park.

There is also limited, free street parking available in the neighborhoods surrounding Mosswood Park. Additional parking may be available in nearby commercial areas along Broadway and Piedmont Avenue. We encourage guests to carpool, use public transportation, or rideshare whenever possible. Please allow extra time for parking, especially during peak afternoon hours. Mosswood Park is located near several major transit corridors and is easily accessible without a car. 

BART
The nearest BART station is MacArthur Station, located approximately ½ mile from the park (about a 10–15 minute walk). The station is served by all major BART lines, making it a convenient option for guests traveling from throughout the Bay Area. 

AC Transit
Several AC Transit bus routes stop near Mosswood Park, including routes serving Broadway, Telegraph Avenue, and MacArthur BART. A bus stop is located directly adjacent to the park at Broadway and Mosswood Park.

Rideshare
Uber and Lyft are encouraged for guests who prefer not to drive. Use "Mosswood Park, 3612 Webster Street, Oakland, CA 94609" as your destination.
