Our 20th Anniversary
For the past 20 years, UnCommon Law has supported incarcerated people to heal and return home through parole. Hundreds of families have been reunited as we fight for a system rooted in transformation. Now, we’re advancing a bold vision with our 20th anniversary campaign: A Fundamental Right to Heal. What if our justice system responded to harm not with isolation and punishment, but with real opportunities for healing? We know healing is essential to lasting safety. We’ve witnessed it hundreds of times: when people are given a genuine opportunity to grow and change, they don’t just transform their own lives—they help others, too. We know that healed people heal people. And when people return home ready to lead and give back, entire communities grow stronger. Join us as we celebrate 20 years and build what comes next.
