Teresa Ramirez, Client Services Coordinator, studied Latin American and United States History at Saint Mary’s College of California. She became involved in equity-based work as an undergraduate AmeriCorps member with the language and literacy national non-profit Jumpstart for Young Children. Her experience with Jumpstart solidified her commitment to non-profit work focused on disrupting the school-to-prison pipeline. After her undergraduate studies, Teresa continued her work with Jumpstart as a staff member at both San Francisco State University and Saint Mary’s College of California  training, supporting, and coaching over 350 undergraduate students engaged in Jumpstart programming. Teresa has special interest in youth development, leadership development, and place based work.
