What does “healing” mean to you?

To me, healing is forgiving others who caused trauma in my earlier years.

What are your dreams for the future? What do you want to accomplish/achieve?

My dream for the future is to continue on a positive path. I want to achieve success at anything I set out to accomplish.

What is something you wish people knew about you?

I wish that people knew that I am someone that they can converse with regardless of their issues.

Have you ever felt like someone made assumptions about you, based on the fact that you were incarcerated? What were those assumptions? How do you challenge those?

Since being released, people make assumptions regarding my sanity. Some wonder if I am traumatized from being away for so many years. I answer through my behavior: by being available and positive.

What is your favorite thing to do?

My favorite is to be positive, move forward, and don’t look back into the past.

What do you like to do for fun?

For fun I enjoy exercising and watching comedies.

What is your favorite memory?

My favorite memory was when Mr. Keith Wattley showed concern for my liberation. Also, Lilli Paratore answering questions that I had always struggled with. They will always be in my heart!

What are your favorite qualities (in yourself)?

I love being myself and not stressing about anything.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of looking in the mirror and seeing myself smile. All are now behind me, I can move forwards.

Who are your biggest role models?

My biggest role models are those who can be positive despite unfortunate situations.

What else would you like to say about yourself?

I would like to say that I feel much better about having the strength to forgive others.

If you could describe working with UnCommon Law in one word, what word would you choose?

I would choose the word “heartfelt.”
