Paul Petrequin has worked to support nonprofits both internally and externally throughout his career and personal life. His expertise includes nonprofit formation and governance, feasibility studies, development assessments, executive and board counsel, campaign management, and planned giving.
Paul is currently the Director of Philanthropy and Capital Campaigns for the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, where he helps lead the organization's individual giving team to support the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
Paul's passion for criminal justice reform stems from his public interest work at the University of Miami School of Law. While enrolled, he dedicated significant time providing legal services at the Florida Immigrant Coalition, serving on behalf of the Innocence Project, and working as an associate attorney at a boutique Florida law firm dedicated to capital punishment defense. In his final semester of law school, Paul served in the Chambers at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) in Arusha, Tanzania, assisting judges with their research and rulings throughout trial. After graduating and earning his JD, Paul received a fellowship to serve at the American Civil Liberties Union Capital Punishment Project, assisting senior attorneys in several successful death penalty commutations.
When not working, Paul can typically be found trail running in Marin, hiking with his wife and their extremely spoiled golden retriever, and being perpetually disappointed by Arsenal football club.
