Inside Home After Harm at Lancaster
May 9 was a powerful day for UnCommon Law and everyone who joined us inside California State Prison in Lancaster to witness the heart of our Home After Harm program. We brought public officials, policymakers, and state and system leaders inside California State Prison, Los Angeles County (Lancaster) to experience Home After Harm, our trauma-informed in-prison program supporting people navigating California’s discretionary parole process. They sat in circles with participants, listened, and engaged in honest conversations about accountability and what healing can look like.
We are especially grateful to everyone who made the journey to Lancaster to witness what’s possible when healing replaces harm. Your presence, attention, and engagement made this day what it was. Watch the video below for a recap of the event and an inside look at Home After Harm.
