  • Training and consulting with public defenders throughout California

  • Pro bono training for outside attorneys working with UnCommon Law through virtual and in-house support

  • The Post-Conviction Advocacy Project, a one-of-a-kind opportunity for Berkeley Law students to train with UnCommon Law and assist incarcerated people in the parole process

  • Lifer School, a training to provide guidance and resources for family and friends of incarcerated people, as well as lawyers and advocates

  • Prison and Discretionary Parole at UC Berkeley School of Law, an annual course for law students that provides insight into an often-overlooked part of law and sparks student interest in equity and rights for incarcerated people

  • Industry and law school events, including criminal justice symposiums, events and adjunct sessions at the nation’s top law schools, where UnCommon Law leadership frequently speaks

  • Case conferences, an opportunity for on-staff and volunteer therapists to engage in current case reviews with UnCommon Law’s Director of Clinical Support and receive education on best practices and therapeutic pedagogy
