Erin Scott, Board Member, is the Executive Director of Family Violence Law Center in Oakland, California, a nonprofit that helps diverse communities in Alameda County heal from domestic violence and sexual assault, and advocates for justice and healthy relationships. She graduated from Swarthmore College and New York University School of Law.

Erin has been working on domestic violence and sexual assault issues since volunteering as a rape crisis counselor in 1990. She has provided legal services for pregnant and parenting teens and has represented a survivor who was imprisoned for killing her batterer. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence and of the Family Violence Appellate Project.

Erin believes that all forms of violence are connected, including oppression and state sanctioned violence, and that we will not achieve equity and justice until we use an intersectional approach to advocacy.
